Newbe needs help. Front oil seal.

    Greetings,

New to the board, I found this sight looking for information on a 350 I own in a Jeep pick up that has started blowing oil out the front main seal. I have no idea what to buy in the way of replacement parts and the part stores can't find what I need in their books so it doesn't exsit. Any one have an idea what I need and where to get it?

first, let's make sure this is a Buick 350 you're talking about:

assuming it's a Buick 350, any front seal from a 1968-1981 Buick 350 will work. although the parts store is probably going to give you a rope seal.

better option ( better sealing, less leaking, less drag ) is the neoprene front seal. the parts store can find this if you tell them to cross reference a 1976-84 Buick 231 v6.

some parts numbers for the neoprene front seal:
    AP 5131
    Victor 6502SF
FPGTCS45930 < NAPA timing cover set
