i rebuilt the master cylinder on my 1950 special, while removing the cotter pin on the brake pedal linkage broke off. now the hole were the pin goes is plugged and i can't get the new one in. how does the assembly come off so i can drill it out. or is there any other suggestion?
thanks
The pedal assembly (whether 3-speed or Dynaflow) bolts to the frame. First step is to lift the carpet or rubber matting around the pedal(s).This allows removal of the toe-board that fits around the pedal(s). Unscrew the fasteners from the inside. Next disconnect the clutch linkage (if any). Then remove the three bolts that hold the pedal assembly. Remove, repair, replace.
Cursing is optional throughout the process.
