Im not too familiar with the buick 350 (i believe some of them can have oil pump issues).....As for power there is definite potential....My uncle (when I was 8 or 9 yrs old) had a green on green on green 72 Lark GS 350 ram air that ran pretty darn good for what it was....His had the BOP 10 bolt with 3.55:1 gears......And yes, the buick, olds, pontiac, 10 bolt is a bullet proof rear end but because it's not a chevy 10 bolt (totally different internals, different axle splines, pinion splines, etc) gear selection is going to be limited.....I think the closest you'll get to 3.42:1 is 3.55:1....Auburn sells a nice LSD unit for it, I believe Eaton sells one as well...Check out (drivetrainspecialists.com) and (drivetrain.com).....They should have what you need.....
