Time for a trans. rebuild most likely. Although, doubtfully, a dragging clutch when hot, not releasing fully.
Hi I have a 52 Buick special with a 3 speed manual and when its cold it shifts into 3rd just fine. when she warms up it starts grinding / getting harder to shift into third regardless of the speed.. the other two gears are fine. any ideas?

yeah someone else told me that the needle bearings are probably keeping the gear spinning once it heats up. are the T85c and t85R pretty much the same as a T85? found a bunch of rebuild parts at northern auto parts http://www.northernautoparts.com/ECa...ubmit=Continue and the needle bearings are the same part # between the T85C and T85. they don't list a whole lot for just a T85.
