have you tried the Chevy equivalent part?

there sometimes are differences between the makes on suspension parts like that but the worst case would be that you convert the whole front end to a Chevy suspension.

You might try "ryan@frenchlakeautoparts.com" I bought a real rare exhaust manifold from them, their description was honest, their price was reasonable, their shipping price was reasonable and they shipped the same business day. Ryan also sent me pictures before I purchased. I recommend them. I think they are in Minnesota.

if you look at his profile, he hasn't been back on the board since the day he posted his request.

    Just trying to help.....

I don't know what it means to "look at a profile" -- and I don't know where.....
I WILL confess that I have very limited skills on the computer --- all I was doing
was answering someone in need, or so I am led to believe.....
I ONLY try and do the right thing on planet earth.......
Plus, if someone responds to his thread, isn't he alerted to as such???

I don't know what it means to "look at a profile"

click on his name ( or yours, or mine ) in the upper left of the first post. this will take you to the profile page of the member in question. there is a general info box on the left side of the screen.

one of the pieces of information displayed there is the last time the member logged into the board. which, the last time timbo logged in was the day he made this post. in other words, he's probably never been back.

now, it IS possible to view the board without logging in, which the board would never know about ... however, his only business on here was to request a part. considering that he hasn't replied to anyone, he probably hasn't been back.

Plus, if someone responds to his thread, isn't he alerted to as such???

    he would -
a - have to enable that option in the board software
b - provide a valid email for the board to send notification too
c - still be reading email sent to that address

there's a lot of failure modes in that list.

    all I was doing
was answering someone in need, or so I am led to believe.....
I ONLY try and do the right thing on planet earth.......

what do you think i'm doing right now?

calm down, i didn't tell you that you had done anything wrong. i was just pointing out not to be too disappointed if you get no reply from him.

    Bob,

Craig is like myself & many others. We are considered dynasoirs, especially to the younger generation. I have one thing over Craig in that I have a computer. Craig has to go to the library to access the internet. Craig has one thing over me & that he has a cell phone. Shoot, I'm so far behind I still have 8 tracks in my cars with Reverberators. He is trying to make a living & survive like ALL of us. One of those ways, among others, is selling NOS & NORS parts for which he has MANY of for ALL kinds of cars. In comparison he ONLY has the original stuff unlike the MANY who are selling inferior products made in other parts of the world. Without your explanation on how things work I had NO IDEA!!!!
