1980 Dynaflow rebuild pump issue......

I’m rebuilding my 1960 Dynaflow (Electra)…
I have an issue, both hydraulic pumps look very scored and I am not sure how to repair them.
A little background info :

1. I have never dismantled or rebuilt a transmission in the past. So please consider me a true amateur.
2. The dynaflow was slipping incredibly in drive (low and reverse seemed fine).
3. The converter was very worn although oil was clean (I suspect it had some metal shards go through it in the past and was rebuilt without changing may parts – see picture).

Ok so both pumps are scored (see pics) …. I am not sure how bad it is or what I should do.
Can I save them ? and put them on fine sandpaper on a piece of glass and try to take out some of the scores (won’t get them all).
Will I have an issue with the gap between the pump and plate if it is too worn or if I sand it down too much ?
Finding new pumps seems impossible and would probably be costly.
What options do I have ?

ALL PARTS SHOWN NEED TO BE REPLACED. The MOST IMPORTANT part of the DynaFlow is the torque converter.Follow the book VERY CLOSELY as far as clearances & tolerances>
