    '47 steering shaft removal from box

    Not having any luck with a search on this.

    How does he steering shaft separate from the steering box. Not sure if I will be using the parts again, but hate to torch old classic parts.

    Ideas?

    That "hot wrench" is looking mighty tempting.

    The shaft is PART of the steering box. To separate the box NEEDS to come apart.

    @telriv

    Thank you sir. I don't think this was one of GM's shining moments in design, but I guess the chassis might make a fun go-kart at lunch hour for the workers. Just add gas can and haul ***.

    I am moving over to the "dark side" with an LXS swap, so a way cool yard sale is in my future.
