65 Cal Skylark GS Coupe, 401

    Hello:

I am trying to verify a few things about my car. The style code is 4427, which from my research indicates a Skylark Custom Thin Pillar Coupe V8; the V8 being a factory original 401. It was built at Fremont, CA in the first week of June. It comes badged as a Gran Sport, but from other information I have found, if it is a Skylark Gran Sport, the style code should be 4627. Could I get some input from Flynbuick?

I am also trying to decipher other codes on the tag: ACC. 30010 for instance. I haven't been able to figure that on out yet. Would thepartsman be able to help me on that?

    Thanks, Geheart

In 1965 the GS was an option on styles 44427, 44437, and 44467. In 1966 the GS became its own series (44607, 44617, 44667). In 1965 Fremont cars don't have the option codes on the trim tag, so if the car serial number and engine serial number match there is a good chance it is a GS if the engine is a 401.

Post a picture of the trim tag. Since it is a Fremont car the 30010 at the bottom of the tag is a batch or sequence number (not an option code even though it is stamped on the same line as ACC.) and doesn't decode, but should also be found on the build sheet.
