    New Tags -1938

For those of you who like neet things, I changed the registration (TAGS) on my 1938. I had state issued "antique' tags originally. But I went into google and found a supplier who had "1938 Florida" tags for sale. I bought one that I thought looked good enough. I then contacted my DMV in Tallassee and they gave me instructions on how to "activate" put the old 1938 license plates back in the active category. I has to send them the original tag so they could see it and put the little "paid" sticker in the corner. I now have a 1938 legitimate tag on my 1938 car. The state of Florida now considers my car in the "Horseless Carriage" category

It's cool Florida will do that. Like to see your 1938 Horseless Carriage and its new tax stamp.

    38 tags

If you send me your e-mail address, I will send you a pix of my tags on my car. I'll bet your DMV would reactivate an old tag that matched your car. My tags stays with my car. If I were to sell it, DMV wants the tag to go with it. Pre-war cars are now licensed in Florida as horse less carriage. Your state will do it differently, you know about "not invented here" problems. Then again, you might br surprised --

That sounds like the way Virginia does it. Not Texas though. You can send the picture to u_blaine@yahoo.com Thanks
