The Chevy flexplate is balanced differently and may not even fit. The Buick 300 and Buick 350 flexplate will fit, but are not balanced the same. You would need to find a 340 flexplate.

Due to a cheap engine stand, and an accident my flex plate is now bent. Are the flex plates same as a Chevy 350 or Buick 350. its kinda odd looking. its going with a super turbine 400.

what is the different in balancing between them? Is a Buick 340 externally balanced?

All Buick engines are externally balanced, as for as I know the Buick 300-340 and 350 has the same counter weight? I Can check the parts books tomorrow. I have been swapping them without problems so far.
