    Transmission cooler line help

I am about to install my rebuilt 350 in to my 72 Skylark. I am putting headers on the new motor and I am wondering what I need to do with the transmission cooler lines. Wondering what most guys do with theirs. The clearness is very close between the headers and lines so I've read. Would wrapping the lines with heat reflective tap work or do I need reroute them? Thanks for the help.

The best thing to do is run push lok hose through the frame. You need to buy the hose and fittings. The hose is very durable. I use it for my entire fuel system.

if i was going to wrap something, i'd wrap the headers.

I just did a transmission swap on my GS. I used a Derale stacked plate cooler.

Mounted it behind the grill and used -6AN push lok hose with all the appropriate fittings. Worked out great and is leak free. Ran the hose through the frame. The only place it gets close to the headers is where the lines come out of the transmission and go into the frame rail.

I got the lines all ran through the frame like describe. It worked out great. I got the lines from Summit racing. They were a little long but overall I am very pleased on how they turned out. Thank you all for your help.
