I own a 96 Regal custom that I've recently lost one of the keys. The problem is they're chipped. I want to know if replacing the ignition cylinder and switch, with an aftermarket, would remove the need for the chipped keys since they're expensive, and apparently Buick doesn't have my resistor code on file, so it's going to cost me a pretty penny just to get a spare key. I'd rather just get this headache out of the way so I can just go to the local hardware store and get spares cut out for 1.50.

Thanks in advance!
