*ahem*
i'm not in the habit of complimenting men on the condition of their bodies.

I just don't think it needs a qualifier based on age. It looks sharp period. Yes, I am throwing away all the AARP stuff that keeps coming in the mail.

lol...thank you gentlemen!
i was looking for a coupe but this beauty stole my heart...
my wedding present to myself!
i am looking for advice on a static lowering system, i dont want to modify the body with any cutting or drilling that air suspension would entail...
well, you'd probably be looking for drop spindles on the front end. i'd check out spindles for a 62 Chevy Impala, that's a B-body like the Le Sabre. that way your front geometry should still be pretty close to stock even though you've got reduced ride height.

if you get new spindles, may as well see if they've got them in disc brake while you're at it.
rear lowering would be best accomplished by getting shorter springs. if you WANT a stiffer ride, you can kill two birds with one stone by cutting down the existing springs .... i'd use a sawzall and cutting oil.
if you use shorter springs with the OEM rate, you may run the risk of bottoming the car out.

I wouldn't do much to it since it looks correct.
Front disc brake modification would definitely improve this car and is also a safety item.
Type in " scarebird" in your browser for some ideas and to save a couple dollars and a few headaches.
just a quick update so far...
i had the lesabre at the shop over the xmas break to have my mechanic look over the entire car and identify any issues that were apparent....
good news:
healthy engine
solid body and floors
bad news
needs exhaust - going to get some straight pipes on there
needs brakes - going to get some drop spindles and disc brakes for the front
other than that, its just a matter of flushing the fluids and getting her on the road...
any suggestions for the drop spindles? i want as low as possible...i have looked at the scarebird stuff but the reviews are iffy...
