Thread: 1953 Buick Special radio plug

    1953 Buick Special radio plug

Does anyone have a picture of the plug that goes into the back of the radio in a 1953 series 40?
The wires were gone in my car when I got it and I fabricated one that works but loses contact some times
I would like to see a pic of that plug so I know if I am on the right track or not.
    Thanks

I think it is just a 1/4 turn connector? if its the same as a 50, I have one I can send you. I'll look at it tonight

I would think that is what it should be but I do not know (very frustrating)

If you could send a pic of it that would be great.

What I have made kinda works but it just seems something should old it in place.

    Thanks again Bob

I believe this is the correct wire. Comes off the rear center lug on the headlight switch. With bus fuse in between? This is off my 52 and radio is not currently in it. I stole the headlight switch from the 50. I don't remember if this was installed? That car has radio missing. Car also has a bee hive in it so can't dig around.
