Definitely NOT the original upholstery. Probably recovered using the original seats though. '62 didn't even come close to this MODERN upholstery job. Although I say it does look good, but NOT period correct.

Guys, can anyone tell me if the interior shown in the attached photo would be similar to what was available on a '62 Special convertible? The interior is definitely not original and I hadn't run across these colors and fabric type before during a search I am undergoing to try and purchase a '62 convertible (Special or Skylark). This would be my first Buick so I'm actually not that well versed as to what was available for this car back when it was new. The interior is appealing but I certainly don't want to purchase the car if the interior doesn't at least mimic what was available at the time.
Any help would be appreciated.

Damn, that sucks! Kind of what I suspected...just didn't look right. Car looked really nice all around but I don't want one that has a new interior that the installer couldn't even match with like period fabric. Also makes one wonder what else was fudged!
