Hello to all. Being new here I wanted to say hello. Just bought a beautiful '64 Skylark with what appears to be the original everything except paint. Seems to have only 45K miles and was repainted the original color except in modern base clearcoat. Still decoding the trim plate to determine if all is what it left Flint with.

Cool! My 64 was coral mist with silver interior. I plan to restore it back to that. Are you in Pennsylvania?

I still have to pinch myself when I remember I found this on a "used car lot"! Still deciding what I'm going to do on this skylark to help it over this cold Michigan winter. Has anyone tried the distributor up grades for these older cars or have any recommendtations along these lines. I think that's all I want to do engine wise to make it a bit more reliable. Rebuilding the carb was easier than I remembered.
Also would like to know if anyone has done a disc brake up grade to this year or similar. Thinking about that.
LOVE THIS SITE!!!
Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick?
Disc brake upgrades are VERY common. The diff. will be startling in braking performance.
I sell one wire electronic conversions. Very easy install or I can do it for you & also re-work the distributor advance curve for better performance & MPG.
