Hey Guys,
Would greatly appreciate any advice regarding a '63 Skylark am interested in. It was recently on eBay and is sold by Lash Auto in Florida. It's red with white interior(convertible). Seems really clean. On their site, it is priced at $23,908. The eBay "starting bid" was $17,000 but the posting ended unsold with some low bids. Below is the eBay link.
I'm not a Buick guy so but may be soon as I like this model. Any advice anyone can provide on this listing would be a huge help.
Thanks in advance!
- Mark

Buicks tend not to have the popularity of the Chevy / Ford / Dodge sporty cars. hell, there was a Rick Hendrick 1970 Stage 1 resto mod that sold on Barrett-Jackson for ~70k last year. Hendrick probably had most of 70 thousand just in the 455. and the early 70s Stage 1s are far and away the most valuable Buicks ( sporty ) unless you're getting something crazy like the Buick Y Job or Le Sabre concept cars.
your link is a very nice looking car, but i think i'd hold off and look around unless you're absolutely positive that it's EXACTLY what you want.
if you purchase one of these cars, keep in mind that the 1961-63 215ci ( == 3.5L ) v8 aluminum engine was sold to British Leyland and remained in production up to 2004 in Land Rovers. 4.6L cross bolt blocks with serpentine accessory belts, fuel injection and computer controlled ignition are not that hard to find.
