6V Delco-Remy Generator front bearing removal

Can somebody give me a quick answer as to what kind of tool to use to get the front generator bearing out of it's socket? The socket is covered by a triangular plate with 3 screws but there ain't even close to enough room to get a screwdriver in there.

Edit: I pretty much figured it out, but now the new issue...anybody got a neat trick to get the woodruff key out? This key is stuck like nothing I've ever seen.

Take a center punch & hit the key hard on the lower end closest to the housing & the front of the key will lift. Then use sidecutters to pry it out of the groove. And you need to press the entire housing off the armature to change the bearing.

Thanks Jamie; I ended up using a brass punch and hitting one end, then the other to see-saw it. Didn't maul it too bad. The rear bushing had to pressed out too. Should I re-install the key with some kind of "Never-Seize" compound or something for when (or if) it needs to come out again?

I wouldn't worry about any anti-seize,your never going to change the bearing again.
