    65 Skylark

Skylark June 27 2014 004.jpgHope I'm doing this correctly! I bought a 1965 Skylark 2 door Hardtop about a month ago. I have owned a few Buicks over the years, a 55 Special , 60 LeSabre , and three 66 Skylarks...all two doors. I always regreted selling them and vowed to one day own another Buick. I saved my pennies for 8 years and got the 65 Skylark I now own and just love the hell out of it. I had just over 61000 miles when I got it and was in really exceptional shape for a car that age. It doesn't need much really but some original interior stuff and maybe down the road some paint work. I am having a tough time finding the rubber floor mats in a fawn color to match the interior. I put heavy duty coil springs on the rear, it was sagging a bit and replaced the valve cover gaskets. While I had the Valve cover gaskets off I beadblasted them and painted them Buick green. There are accessory codes on the body plate that don't match the ones I see listed on TB which is odd but I do know it has a posi rear end dual exhaust retractable seat belts, the door guards, both outside mirrors the codes are WO 2XP, 3H, 4F AND 5W...none of which I could find here. The numbers do match.

You won't find that in any books, I've just been collecting it over many years.
