Hi all,
Finished swapping the '70 455 into the '69 Skylark, 455 had an existing MSD 6A system, so I installed that as well, and had it running like a dream. Couple of short, very fun test drives, then all of a sudden the key won't turn the motor off when I get home. Ran for about 5 min while I debated pulling the coil wire, but the engine finally just died without my touching anything, and now it won't start, no spark at all..

I know that you can get run-on with a capacitive discharge ignition system, but wouldn't that have showed up immediately following the swap?? I did notice during the first start and test drives that my charge light was glowing dimly, so it's possible that I was drawing some current into the MSD through that circuit. However, the car would still turn off with the key at that point. What am I missing? Did I fry my MSD box? Any help / suggestions appreciated, thanks
