    300Ci 1966 intake manifold ?

    Hello Teambuick forum,

Where can I buy a new or refurbished intake manifold for my stock engine 4.9l 300Ci 1966 ( buick skylark ) ??
I found nothing in TA performance and Edelbrock.
Perhaps someone have an Idea ?
    Thanks a lot
    Best regards
    Vincent

There is this, but you will need to find out if it will work on a 66 engine.

I'd look for an iron 1965 300 4 barrel manifold. It is a direct bolt in (no spacers or welding required). They come up on the sites or on Ebay now and then.

you can use a 215 intake

    IF
you fab spacer plates and a valley pan to cover the lifter valley.

nothing else is 'made new' for the 300.

you can use a 64 aluminum intake but it's got small runners. only upside, there shouldn't be a reversion step at the head and it's a bit lighter. if you want it to 'match properly' you'll need to snag the alum 64 heads along with the intake.

the 300 4 barrel in cast iron is pretty much 1965 production only. there may be some early 66's with it, but most 4 barrel applications in 66-67 will be the 340 ... and that has a taller deck so the 340 intake is too wide.

I am wondering out loud if you could cut a 340 manifold down to size and elongate the boltholes? That would not cost that much and there were a lot more 4 bbl 340s. I may have to try an experiment with my local machinist.
