    Hello all,
My name is Will and I am a new owner of a 1985 Buick LeSabre Limited Collectors Edition and new to the Buick world in general.

I would like to know if anyone can tell me what issues I need to look out for (currently at 62,000 miles). I will post a new thread of the details in the 80's section. Just wanted to introduce myself.

*** I did not see that the 80's section was archived… so here ya go
A little info about the Boat.

    -Olds 307ci 5L
    -A/C

    I have replaced/tended to:
    -Radiator hoses

    Greetings from another newbie!

This week must be Collectors Editions come to Team Buick - and pretty much as usual I'm bringing up the rear!

Sweet ride you've got there! I'm going to try to post some pictures of my 85 Collectors Edition in the next day or so. I'm the 3rd little old man custodian of her and she's a bit unusual with her almost complete lack of options. Coupe with NO vinyl roof - options are power seat and a radio - that's it! It's too bad that exact production numbers aren't available by option 'cause I'm sure she's close to unique! Just turned over 44,000 miles.

At any rate, these cars seem to be pretty rock solid - I've been picking and digging around mine for about 5 years now and really, other than pretty much the same stuff you replaced along with a full set of shocks (love RockAuto!) I haven't had to actually FIX anything. Sadly she lived outside for a few years and got hailed on - the good 'ol Buick paint survived beautifully - and no pock marks anywhere but on the trim. I scrounged salvage yards last fall and gathered enough to replace (I think) everything that was damaged. I also just received a new set of bumper fillers that I need to test fit and get painted. Those little items and a set of rally wheels should make her a bit MORE stunning than she already is!

Enjoy your Collectors edition - they're special (around 20,000 produced in '85), pretty and drive really well!!! As I've been known to say 'like ridin' a cloud'!!!
