67 chevy 12 bolt A body rear end fit a 1968 GS 400

Will a 67 chevy 12 bolt A body rear end fit a 1968 GS. Ive herd that the mounts are the same but the 67 is 1 inch shorter will that make a difference? and can you make that up with the wheel size and back space? thanks

The difference can be made up with backspacing on your wheel. Measure the total lengths of both to be sure they are not the same. I think the upper control arm has a difference shape on one side to clear the 12 bolt.
