51 buick straight 8 crank question

I have a 263 straight 8 with a dyna flow trans but the motor is bad I have purchased a 51 straight drive motor my torque converter will not fit the to the crank on the manual My question is can I swap the crank from the automatic to the manual motor thanks for the help.

Just to clarify you, you had an auto trans connected to the bad motor and your replacement motor had a manual trans? And they're both 263"s?
I'm not expert but I have been told, in a post of my own, by Buick experts, that it can be swapped. Just have the crank turned/grinded for insurance before you put it in. I am in the exact opposite perdicament. I have a good 263 motor that came from an auto trans car but need to swap a crank for a manual car. Did you complete the switch yet. If you haven't maybe you would be interested in swapping cranks. I have a 263 crank for an auto trans and you have a 263 crank for a manual trans. Let me know if you still need the auto crank, maybe we can help each other out for just the cost of shipping. Or, if you still have the 263 manual crank and don't need it would you like to sell it?
