Hello,
Do you know how the wipers motor of a 71 Skylark works ?
When I switch on the wipers and try to stop it in dry condition, it needs 5 and up to 15 minutes to stop the wipers.
I know it has something to do with a depression system which brings the wipers down below the hood.
What makes me upset is that the last time I tried to fix the problem, I stopped the engine in the garage, but left the ignition key on, trying to get the wipers stopped.
After 2 minutes the HP coil and the electronic ignitor started burning.
What can be done on wiper level ? Do I need a new motor ? Is there a specific plug which is missing ?
Any advice is welcome
Gabe
