Singel 4 barrel or dual 2 barrel on 320

    Hi,

Thinking about what to do with the setup on my 320 -48 and would like some input from you.
Right now there is a Carter 2 barrel on it and it runs good but it can always get better.
Got a Carter WCFB 4 barrel carb and the intake laying around as well as the compound exhaust manifold from the 41/42.
The engine mount is already modifed to fit the exhaust manifold.
My idea was to run them togheter and just block the heating.

The question is now if I should go with the singel WCFB or get a 2 carb intake and run dual (straight linkage).
The dual setup would certainly look cooler but I guess the singel 4 barrel would get better performance and milage.

Im leaning towards the 2 carb setup mostly because of the look but at the same time it does feel bad to not use the 4 barrel since its kind of rare.

Anyone that has tested both or got any other input on this?

I have the small Engine (263 with the '41 carb compound Manifolds and two 32 NDIX Zenith's,
alway i have (ok,very little ) problems with goin back from Accelerating to a constant low Idle without a short kick on the right Pedal (because of the small play of the Shafts ) .
Somtimes thats the moment, I wish me a single Carb. ....
I think the most you can get is with a selfmade Intake and a Plenum for more than one carb (2,3,4,5,6,???)
    like 36 Century it have ..... ( again an again,its awesome !!! )

dual is always cooler and 3 is even better. I think these engines will take anything you throw at them. right now I am running a 600 cfm edelbrock on th e 2 barrel intake because I had one and it was easy. I plan to build a 2 x 2 set up this winter.

I have decided to do the dual. If anyone have a dual intake manifold laying around, sell it to me
The 4 barrel intake and carb will be sold.

I think I will go with dual Carter WCDs, I have a single 726s now and will try to find another one (or similiar).
