Filling lever arm dampers

this may seem like a silly question but on my 1950 special the lever arm dampers have only one small bolt on the top,is this where you fill them from,it just seems a tad on the small side..

I've never checked the oil in our '54. I assume the lever arms are similar. What kind of oil do I use?

im hoping its right,i have used hydraulic oil in mine..

I use hydraulic jack oil, and I think you have the same thing. IMO you should be fine.

Thanks for the replies,i have eventually done it,its not easy filling through that little hole,i had to keep jacking it up and letting it down to get the travel on the damper so it would let the air out!! just got to take it for a drive to test it now..
