Thread: My 1955 Century Coupe about to arrive in driveway any day now...

Unfortunately you have little or no recourse against the bogus seller. I'm glad that you can look at it the way you are. Even though I live in Ct. I would make a trip to Ca. just to be face to face with the seller to see what he has to say. I must say you are taking it rather well!!!!

What I do when I can't personally take a trip (or it would be impractical) to see a car I hire an appraiser to do it for me. I use a couple of firms with franchises all over the US. They've been real good for me. It costs $300 or so, but it's cheaper than flying!

That's probably the best plan if you can't look at the car personally. I figured there would have to be companies which did that kind of inspections.

    damn man, that sucks.

keep what lostark says in mind if you ever try to do an overseas buy again.

and there are actually several Buick clubs down under. you may be able to get one kind of local to you that you can actually go look at before buying.

I'm sorry to hear about your unfortunate situation. Were you able to sell it for anywhere near what you had invested in it? Feel free to post as much info as possible about the seller so others don't make the same mistake with this POS....
