Does the Kanter bushing fit the shaft, or is the inside diameter wrong too?
If it doesn't fit, can you get any numbers off the shaft?
Ray
Hi,
I'm trying to solve an issue with the 41 Buick im restoring. When taking the front suspension off the frame I noted that the lower control arms are different.I currently have part number 1323033 B5 on the drivers side which wont take the hex steel bushing I bought from kanter. The passenger side has part number 1308341 B120 which does take the steel hex bushing.
Another company has told me other part numbers 1393371, 1393370, 1393398 and 1393399, but I don't know which ones will take the steel hex bushing?
Any assistance gratefully recieved.

No, I got the shaft and bushings as a set from kanter.
Here is what is says in the 1930-1955 Buick Master Chassis Parts Book for lower control arms, don't know if it helps any (frame number should be on a plate attached to the firewall, first digit indicates plant, 1=Flint, 2=South Gate, 3=Linden):
1393368 Right
1393369 Left
Fits:
1940 40-50-60-70
1941 40-50 upto frame, see notes below
1393370 Right

Thanks Sean,

I think that it is a Flint car from this. From your list this would mean that neither control arm i have is correct.
Is there a matching one to the passenger side that I already have?
1308341 (listed as steering knuckle arm)

I think the numbers 1323033 and 1308341 on the parts might be casting numbers rather than part numbers:

Sean, thanks for all your help. I now know what I need.
Cheers

Right,
I got the second hand lower control arm but it is the same as i have got. Although the inner bushing hole diameters are the same on the two different control arms the outer bushing holes are smaller 0.7" drivers side versus 0.78" on the passenger side. See pics.
I got a Kanter bushing kit which fits the larger hole on the passenger side which I think is the wrong one for the car?
Is there a smaller lower outer bushing that fits?
Thanks,
Steve
