Suspension modifications before dropping in the bbb

I have a 68 skylark and am rebuilding my suspension before I put the 455 in, and was just looking for any tips or advice. My plan is to redo all bushings of coarse and put in heavier spring that rate to 455 specs but after that I don't know what would be an improvement any and all advice is appreciated thank you in advance

Maybe shocks, but I can't recommend any particular make/model. Check the balljoints, of course, and even though it's not really suspension, check all the joints in the steering linkage for looseness.

How are you going to use the car?
You might consider heavier sway bar on front and add one to the rear.
How's a good time to consider adding disc brakes.

I don't use the heavier front spring, but that is my personal preference. And don't have a front sway bar on the car that goes drag racing from time to time.

I'm going to be putting the 350 back in it after I'm done while I'm rebuilding the 455 and drive it daily but once I get the bb in I intend to drag it occasionally and drive it only occasionally I have a 15/16 sway bar in th front which I suspect is factory how heavy of a bar should I go in the rear? And I was also considering the front disk brake conversion but its a pretty spendy kit so I was going to put that off

For me, springs are the only thing I'd really think about since there is extra weight (which would cause the car to sit lower, especially since you probably have worn-out springs already).

I added a rear sway bar, but took it out again. It made the ride harsh and uncomfortable. I don't really care about how fast I can take a corner, though.
