1962 Power Seat Trouble

Hello,

I want to pull apart the power bench on my 62 Electra because it doesn't move (though the motor runs). The 1962 Chassis Service Manual I have does not mention the power seat at all. Is there any documentation for this available?

This may be of some help....My newly acquired 65 Riviera seat doesn't go backward or forward even though the moter spins...after analysis/inspection it would appear the drive gear in the motor housing must be stripped. be warned if you intend removing the seat they are heavy.
Mine are buckets and are heavy and I have done a 55 Cadillac ( bench ) and it was bloody heavy.
My seat still goes up and down which is driven by the same motor. motor just engage either the back/ forward or up/down cable on demand.
