sounds like the gear tooth on the drive motor might be getting worn out?
1967 Buick is my car and the windshield wiper motor will work sometimes but will only make a clicking noise other times. The ground seems to be good when checked with a test light. Any suggestions as to how to troubleshoot the problem would be appreciated.
Thanks, Brian

Thanks Bob, I checked the gears and they are all in very good condition. An older mechanic told me that they used to have a lot of trouble with the rubber diaphram sticking and causing the motor to stop. I greased that up but broke the resistor on the ground wire!! Do you know how many ohms it is? I need the size to get a new one.
Thanks again.
