    Decode Buick 1962 Convertible Tag

    Hi Everyone,

    Please help I'm currently restoring a 62 Buick convertible and was wanting to decode the tag so that I can restore it to it's original condition. Attached is the scan of the tag.

    Cheers

    that's an extremely low body number, it should be very early in the model year. it might be the first week of production. what's the last 6 digits of your vin?

    i assume you have the 4 barrel, 215ci. lots of parts for that engine available from the Land Rover guys.

    09C = Sept, 3rd week
    62 = 1962
    4167 = Special Deluxe, 2dr convertible ... 8,332 were built
    BC = South Gate, California
    42 = sequential body number
    119 = i can't find a 119 trim code for ANY model this year or 1961. it's possible it's from a different make?
    1 = color of the vert top, i think it's black
    CC = monochrome Arctic White paint

    I don't have trim 119 for 1962 either, but in 1963 trim 119 was Blue Vinyl with Bucket-Type Front Seats.
