building a hot rod buick 350

I have a 68 buick 350 numbers marching to my skylark but the crank is broken....I plan on machining as little as possible and was curious if a high powered cam, new distributor, headers and a good carb would be able to take me to 400 horse or if I need to bore it over for a little more displacement. I'm on a budget so I was hoping to use my stock rods and pistons any thoughts on the build? I'm not new to hot rodding just new to buicks....any input is appreciated

since I'm replacing the crank should I go stock replacement or a slightly longer stroke? I know the stock was about square for strokw to bore which is good
