We have a 63 International truck that had a Buick cross member welded to the iH frame and had a 67 Buick 300-2 in it. The 300 was seized up so we picked up a 1969 Buick 350-2 for it. We tried just dropping the engine in but it does not want to drop all the way down onto the cross member mounts. Do you know if the motor mounts are different? This brings 2 questions to mind
1. Will the motor mounts from the 67 300 bolt up to the 69 350 block?
or
2. Would a set of 350 mounts that bolt to the cross member bolt up where the 300 cross member mounts were??
Thanks in advance!
The mounting holes on the block should be the same, but the crossmembers, brackets and rubber mounts are different depending on series (A or B body) and year.
Go with #1 - or are you saying that you can't use the rubber mounts which were on the 300 engine in the truck?
