72 core support in 70 skylark

Ive been looking for a good core support for my 70. Found one somewhat locally, but its from a 72. Ive heard there are some differences. Just checking to see if this will work for me. Thanks in advance, Brandon

The 72 core support will of course fit the 70 model. The 71 & 72 core supports are the same. Where the headlight capsules fit is the difference.
The 71 & 72 use 3 "bearing pads" on each capsule where the 70 has a square raised area that seated the capsule.
Your 70 center support should fit along with your hood opening hardware. If there is a fit problem, you may have to change all parts to a 71-72.
By 1975-76 the 70 Skylark/GS core support and center support were superceded to the 72 model parts.
Also the 70 core support was reproduced and is available while supplies last.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. I knew it would physically fit in, but I didnt know what else was different. Sounds like it should go in fine.
