    62 buick lesabre 401 nailhead camshaft ??

    ok i want to put a new cam and lifters in my 62 buick lesabre 401 whats the best cam setup??. and what is the stock cam spec..thanks Rich

    The stock nailhead cams are below. Duration is advertised when making comparison to other cams. TA is about the only one left with cams for the nailhead. Poston and Kenne Bell no longer make nailhead cams, but you may find them NOS here and there. TA's Nailhead cam selection is here: http://www.taperformance.com/products.asp?cat=157.

    Comp has alot of blanks for the "Nails". Schneider makes many cams for T/A.

    anyone running the TA20 camshaft or the RV12 ????

    I myself wouldn't use an RV cam. I don't like the 218/218 TA20 because it doesn't have a split overlap between intake & exhaust. I would rather the TA25 with a 113-114 LSA for a smoother idle especially with power steering & brakes.
