    dynaflow leak into torque tube

I have a 55 special with a dynaflow trans. Last spring i installed a new propeller shaft seal behind the torque ball. I was getting trans fruid into the rear diff. thru torque tube. I also installed a drain plug at the rear of torque tube . the seal seams to be leaking still. I think I may have installed it backwards. Which direction does the bevel of the seal face, towards trans or the rear end. thanks for any info

Not sure what you mean by the bevel. However, the seal should have a spring visible on one side. The side where the spring is exposed should face the transmission. In fact, the same idea applies to just about all spring-loaded lip seals - the spring faces the fluid you are trying to contain.
