    help my fuel sending unit

    Just wondering, if any one can tell me what part number and where i could get a new fuel sending unit for a 67 lesabre with a 340 4 barrel i cant find one any where and mine took a dump, ive pulled it out and its all inclosed in a can shaped cylinder. if any one could tell me what other years might fit etc. it would be greatly appreciated thanks jeremy

    I wonder if any GM sending unit from that era might work. Find a used one some where, hook it up to the wire and ground the mount, hold it at the approximate angle it attaches to the gas tank, move the the float arm up and down have someone observe the fuel gage needle. I bet they are all interchangeable. Forgot you have to turn on the ignition switch. Make sure all your connections are nice and shiny.

    They ARE are re-buildable. Look in Hemmings.

    never thought about hemmings, and didnt know they could be rebuilt thanks.
