A stock 350 has hydraulic lifters and there is no provision for manually adjusting the valve clearance. If you have excessive valve noise, the most likely cause is lifters that are sticking because of varnish build-up on their internal parts. The lifters can be disassembled and cleaned in a solvent like lacquer thinner and this will usually restore them to normal operation. When disassembling, make sure not to mix parts from different lifters, as they are selectively fitted at the factory.

Ok, I never remove the rocker cover, because i don´t have the new gaskets, and after I was wrong buying parts for other things and waiting weeks for more parts to finish the repair, now I ask before..

I think the next week I start to buy al the stuff I need to repair all the possibles injuries in the engine.. And thinking to extract the engine to clean an changue all it needs..

    Thanks a lot Ray..

Exactly what kind of problems are you having believing you need a valve adjustment??? As mentioned there is NO valve adjustment if everything is stock. With more info of problems some of us will be able to help you & prevent you from buying parts that you may not need.
