traction light and ABS light on @ same time

I have a 97 park ave. ultra and the other day the traction light off and ABS light came on both @ the same time. These went off then came on again both @ the same time. What is causing this? Bad Sensor?

This happens when the wheels spin on wet pavement or loose gravel and if the lights go off and no codes are set you are O.K.
