    Hi, good project!
    I'm working on a 5-speed installation into a 65 Wildcat-not done yet!
Bellhousings are hard to find factory ones. Bentsens has a aftermarket one.
I used 65 Impala pedals. not easy to adapt, but done. The 66 Riv x-frame will be a challenge, so my thinking is hydraulic clutch!

I have seen a couple '65 rivs that have been converted. have fun,

Does the Riviera frame look like the frames used on the 61-64 full-size Buicks?

    Hi Ted:
Thanks for the input. Trying to decide whether to convert the nailhead or re-power with a late model powerplant where a hydraulic is a natural.

    Manual Transmission Conversion

    Hi Paul-

Wondering if you have made any progress on this conversion. I am thinking of doing the same with my 65 Riviera and want to come up with a console that looks like it was a factory manual car. Thanks for any advice you can provide.

    Hi:
I have abandoned that idea for now. Turns out my nalilhead is an original 55K mile car and just too nice to mess with.
My guess is that the most original looking way to go would be with a console from a Wildcat with manual of that vintage.
A tall order to be sure since not too many rolled out of Detroit.

You might want to reach out to Ted Nagel. He is the undisputed Wildcat king.

    Regards, Paul

I say "be creative" if you want people to notice go with 3 on-the-tree!
