    67 Gs 400 T-400 Switch Pitch

I just had my T-400 trans rebuilt and the shop stated that the switch pitch converter that is in the car was not hooked up. They didn't know how it came originally. The question is: How is it hooked up? To the accelerator pedal, or the carb linkage? The old timer at the shop said most people would disconnect it anyway to save on the wear and tear of the trans.

Its hooked up @ the carb linkage. You will like it when its working, and its been pretty reliable on the cars I have. Check ebay for trannie switches for 67.

11 years on, what did you end up doing? The switch pitch doesn't wear anything, more than likely typical misunderstanding of how it works. The switch is on the accelerator rod where it turns to go to the carb
