I have a 1970 riviera with a 12 bolt rear end. The code on the underside is PH. What ratio would this be?

I went out and scraped all the grunge off the cover and your right it's a 10 bolt. I thought I read that all 70 Riviera's had 12 bolts on them. If not would it be correct for this car to have a Chevy rear end on it? It is not a GS so it would be great if it is a 3:55/1 Posi!
It has a 9 3/8ths. inch ring gear. 10 bolts on the cover & 12 bolts holding the ring gear to the carrier. Unless it's a "GS" it most likely came with 2.92 or 2.72 gear ratios stock from the factory. It's DEFINATELY NOT a Chevy rear.

Tom, Thanks for answering my post. Your right, I pulled the cover off it's a 9 3/8 with a 2:72 ratio. It does have a PH code on it. Would that be correct for this car?
I found a rear end for my 52 that sounds like yours. I found mine in a 73 Caprice cop car 454 powered. Five hole by 5 inch. Ten bold cover and 12 bolt ring gear. Very heavy built 31 spline axles. Mine has a VE code. This one is a 3.42 ratio posi. Does anyone know if the higher gears like a 2.72 ratio fit my carrier?
