66 Electra: New Front Brake Drums...Need Balancing?

Can someone tell me if the new Cast Iron brake drums I am putting on my car need to be balanced? If so, how would one go about doing that? Would a brake shop have that capability? Any insight would be appreciated...

Brake drums are not usually balanced, don't worry about it.

You can see circular cut marks from a milling machine on some large brake drums. These are for balancing. Generally speaking, the casting process has gotten pretty good these days, for parts like brake drums, so they're pretty good. Still, they have to be balanced...which is done before you get them, if necessary. So you should not have to do it.
