    Finding a 263 engine

In 1980 I purchased a 1948 Roadmaster with Dynaflow. I kept this car for 18 years and poured $$$$$$$$$$$ into it. Really nice when finished, even put duel intake and exhaust of 1941 Roadmaster (7 miles per gallon with Dynaflow). Rebuilt the Dynaflow twice cause it leaked like a sieve. Finally sold it when daughter graduated from high school and bought her a Saturn. I've kicked my self every day since

Now I'm thinking about buying a '41-'53 and was wondering how hard it would be to find a 263 should I buy an earlier car with the 248? From what I can gleen from these pages the 263 is the engine to modify rather than the 263. Are they realtively easy to find? Does someone have a stash somewhere.

I'm in Inliners International and there are fellows in that club who horde GMC 302's and Chevy 292's.

    Cheers

The 263 is the most "Modern" of the Buick Eights. Installing one in an earlier car does pose a few problems that can be overcome.
