Hi folks,

I recently bought a 1973 Buick Apollo with a Chevy 350 engine in it. It has an HEI dizzy and recently started running horribly. I've replaced the cap and rotor, and while I was doing that I noticed some weird stuff. There is a two-wire harness plugged into the cap which connects to the yellow wire and red wire. The ground strap is in the cap and connected to the coil, but nothing is connected to it. There is ANOTHER wire hooked to the other BAT terminal on the cap and then there is a tach wire. Does it really need two wires hooked up on the BAT side? Should I run a ground to the center pin?

Thanks!

Josh
