    Oil Line Routing Straight 8

I have a 48' 248 straight eight that came with no oil lines when purchased. I have attached a picture with red outlines around the seven fittings. Can anyone help me with a picture, technical drawing or map of where they all connect.

    Thanks in Advance!!

I have a 263. Tomorrow morning I will go out and make a map of where all these ports fit together.

The 248 is slightly different from a 263. There is no "D" port on a 263 at that position. the "E" port is where my mechanical oil pressure gauge tube attaches. The "F" and "G" ports are high pressure oil sources from the oil galley. The "A" port is the lube source for the rocker arm shaft. The "D" port looks as just a return to oil pan, though I am not sure. I am not familiar with how the original oil filter was plumbed in but my best guess is: oil from "F" or "G" port up to "B" port on the filter then out "C" port and up to "A" port. I have a modern spin on oil filter but I have used that same routing on my 263 and I have about 80,000 miles on the rocker arms and they show no wear. When you follow the "A" port brass fitting into the head there is a fitting under the valve cover that is special it restricts the oil flow. The orifice is 1/16 inch diameter. That keeps the rocker shaft full of oil. Hope this helps. If somebody sees a mistake let us know.
