    1960 LeSabre Dynaflow passing gear

I had my trans rebuilt a couple of months ago. Since then I don't notice it shifting from low to high from a dead start. I also don't have a passing gear (kickdown). The trans shop says this is normal. Is it supposed to act this way?

What happens when you put it into first, then change ? Can you detect the change then ? Generally, you won't feel the change if starting in Drive - that is the nature of the Dynaflow. You should however have a kick down, but that may just be adjustment.

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, there is a difference when starting in low then shifting to drive. However, there is no kickdown at all and I'm not sure how to adjust that. Can you help?
