Coolant - 1962 Invicta

I just bought a 1962 Invicta Convertible with a 401/455 Wildcat nailhead. The radiator has been rebuilt. Is there any reason why I shouldn't run straight coolant in it?

I would use 50/50 mix, it would have a higher boiling point and lower freezing point. I would only use distilled water.
